Finding members

With the Search members field at the top of the menu (on a computer also Ctrl + K or /) you can search for a member by name or username. Results appear as you type; move with the arrow keys and press Enter, or tap a result, to go to the member's profile. Admins and teachers have an Admin or Teacher badge next to their name, other team members a Team badge; the same badge appears on profiles and comments. Members who blocked you, members you blocked and private profiles you can't see don't appear in the search.

On a computer, hovering over a member's name opens a short profile card. On a phone or tablet, tapping a name opens this card first; you go to the profile with the Go to profile button on the card.

Following

You follow a member with "Follow" on their profile. Members you follow appear at the top of the list when you choose someone to challenge, and they appear in the People I follow tab of the weekly ranking.

Private profiles and follow requests

To a member whose profile visibility is "Only me", you send a request with "Send follow request". When the member accepts your request, you start following them and can see their profile. If your profile is private, you can accept or decline the requests you receive from your own profile page. A member whose request was declined cannot send a new request to the same profile for a while. By pressing the button again, you can stop following or withdraw your request.

Follow lists

On a member's profile there are two numbers under their name: Followers and Following. Tapping one opens a panel from the bottom on a phone, or a window on a wide screen. The panel has a Followers and a Following tab and opens on the one you tapped. Each row shows the member's photo, name and a follow or unfollow button; the list keeps loading as you scroll down. If a member has hidden their follow lists, others don't see these numbers.

Managing your followers

On your own profile, tap the Followers number. In the Followers tab, tap the Remove from followers icon on a member's row and confirm to remove them from your list; the person you remove is not notified. If you want someone to be unable to follow you at all, block them (see "Profile privacy, your name and blocking").

Profile questions

You can ask a question from their profile to a member whose profile you can see and who hasn't hidden their questions section. The question stays between the two of you until the profile owner answers it; once it is answered, it appears on the profile.
