The menu groups the site's sections:

At the top: Home, My Dashboard and Study plan.
Products: Dutch Civic Integration Exam (Study guide, KNS, Lezen, Spreken, All Questions, Mock Exams, Real Exam Experience and Level test), the A0-A2 Course and, when it is open, Driving theory. Tap the Dutch Civic Integration Exam row to hide or show its pages; your choice is remembered on this device. The exam's introduction page is Overview, at the top of the group.
Practice: Dutch words, My words, Word games, Stories and Challenges.
Community: Community and Blog.

Signs you see in the menu:

Lock: That section is not part of your package. When you open the page, it explains how to unlock it.
Ring: Shows how far you have come in the products you have started.
New: Shown on new sections for 14 days, or until you have opened the page once.
Number: Challenges waiting for you or new posts in the community.

The page you are on is marked in orange in the menu.

On wide screens the menu is always open on the left (on the right in Arabic). With the button at the bottom you can shrink it to icons only; hover over an icon to see its name. In the shrunk menu, tapping the Dutch Civic Integration Exam icon opens the menu with its pages; tap outside the menu to shrink it again. This choice is remembered on this device. On screens such as games, theory sessions and the level test, the menu shrinks by itself so it does not distract you.

Your membership card sits at the bottom of the menu: your package, the days left and, when your package is about to end, an Extend your time button.

On a phone there is a bar at the bottom of the screen: Home, Plan, Practice, Alerts and Community. If you are not signed in, the bar has Home, Packages, Free trial and Sign in. Tap Practice to open the practice pages from the bottom. The bell of Alerts shows how many notifications you have not read yet (9+ above nine) and updates without reloading the page when a new one arrives. The menu button at the top left opens the whole menu. Press and hold the bar and slide sideways: the glass marker follows your finger and the tab where you let go opens. The bottom bar is hidden on exam, lesson and game screens.

On a computer, press Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on a Mac), or / when you are not typing somewhere. You can also open it from the Search field at the top of the menu; on a phone, tap the menu button at the top left first. Type the name of a page to go there, or search Dutch words, study topics, help articles, blog posts and stories. If you have confirmed your e-mail address, you can also find members by name or username and open their profile; members who hide their profile from you or have blocked you do not appear. Choose with the arrow keys, open with Enter, close with Esc.

Tap your profile photo at the top right to open everything about your account, and only that:

At the top, your name, username and package; tap it to open your profile.

Log out at the bottom.

The How to use page

The How to use page introduces every main part of the site with a card: what it is for, who it is for, how to use it in a few steps and which plan includes it. Each card has a button to its page and, where there is one, a link to its help article. You reach the page from the Help section of the account menu and from the links at the bottom of every page.
